Scott O’Halloran, Amanda Thorsvig and the FAVROS |Law litigation team won a unanimous defense verdict on behalf of an anesthesiologist.  The plaintiff claimed the anesthesiologist was negligent in placing and managing an epidural catheter for postoperative pain control in a patient undergoing a large abdominal surgery for ovarian cancer.  The patient ultimately developed a spinal epidural hematoma causing paraplegia.  After a three week trial, a Pierce County jury unanimously determined the anesthesiologist complied with the standard of care and was not negligent.
