Jake Winfrey, Todd Reichert, and the FAVROS litigation team won a defense verdict in a medical malpractice and wrongful death case involving a cardiac surgery patient. The plaintiff claimed that the UW physicians were negligent with regard to post-operative management of the patient's temporary pacemaker, which they claimed caused the patient's death. The jury agreed that the defendants complied with the standard of care and returned a defense verdict.
